The Zone

The Zone were looking to streamline their client experience by combining the features of both their website and training app into 1 service. We helped them achieve this by building a new website with a members area that included all of the content and features of their mobile app, plus a few new ones.

In early 2021, The Zone emerged as the winner of a competition we held for a free promotional video. At that time, both The Zone and Passion were in their early stages. Following the completion of the promotional video, the owner, Lauren, expressed her desire for us to document the construction of her unique New York-inspired gym. We reached an agreement and embarked on a journey alongside her to capture the building process.

As The Zone gained momentum, backed by our compelling content, we continued working together on a monthly retainer basis, creating fresh and stunning videos to showcase the facility and its team. We discovered a winning formula, producing promotional videos and conducting in-depth interviews with the team to raise awareness. With personal training at the core of the business, it was important to get the PTs personalities across as that is often the deciding factor for people looking to use their services.

Over time, our understanding of, and involvement with Lauren’s business grew, which meant we were perfectly suited to assist when she came to us with a problem regarding her online services. At the time, The Zone had a standard brochure website and a separate app for clients that served primarily as a library of content, but also included tools for planning and tracking health goals and progress. Lauren’s issue was this: she felt that her website was outdated, and high operating costs meant that she wasn’t seeing much value from the app, but she wasn’t sure how best to go about changing this. For us, the obvious solution was to combine the two and create a brand new website that integrated all the core features of the existing app. So we did just that.
We were able to build a new website that was designed with the gym’s unique aesthetic in mind, and developed to include a members-only area, live sessions, recipe books, and progress tracking for members. This enhanced online presence, and enabled The Zone to compete more effectively both in-person and virtually. To accomplish this, we immersed ourselves in understanding the business’s operations, including class schedules, product offerings, and more. Since launch, the site has been further developed to offer ecommerce functionality following the release of The Zone protein powder.

Fast forward to 2023, and The Zone is thriving, with bootcamps becoming increasingly sought-after and their online membership programmes steadily growing.
